Catholic Diocese of Arlington Donor Recognition

Type of Event: Major donor award recognition and appreciation Recipient: Donors and volunteers Item Presented: Solid bronze medallion featuring portraits of St. Thomas More and St. Elizabeth Seton on the obverse, with the Diocese's shield on the reverse. Objective: The Bishop of Arlington wanted to thank the many supporters and volunteers within the diocese in a very special and memorable way. A large-scale appreciation and donor reception and dinner was held at Burke Hall in St. Thomas More Cathedral. These beautiful medallions were presented to all attendees as a gift during this event. Results: People were greatly appreciative of the Bishop's gesture because it made the thank you much more personal and long lasting. This also encourages the cultivation of donors for future gifts which is part of the major donor strategy for the Diocese.
