Type of Event: Donor recognition Recipient: Contributors to a major fund raising program Items Presented: 3" brass medallions Objective: Recognize and reward donors with a gift that permanently recognizes their dedication and financial support Description of Program: The head of the development foundation at St. Barnabas Medical Center wanted to create a gift that would be given to individuals who donated to a major fund raising program. The gift itself was selected on the basis of Medalcraft's ability to accurately and precisely re-create the image of the hospital building on a 3" solid brass medallion. The medallion itself reinforced the hospital's image of stability. Different levels of donation were recognized with personalized engraving on the reverse side. Results: Everyone at St. Barnabas Medical Center and the donors truly appreciated the medallion gift. The program was a success with donations exceeding projections. Within days after the donor recognition dinner, the hospital reordered more medallions. Not only were more gifts handed out, but the CEO of the hospital requested more medallions with the reverse side copy, so he could use the same medallion as a gift to influential politicians and business executives who periodically visit the hospital.
